Former Inter, AC Milan, and Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini feels that Inter have steadied themselves in Serie A with their victory over Sassuolo.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, Pazzini praised the Nerazzurri and particularly striker Edin Dzeko, arguing that they’ve gotten a handle on things after a rough start.

Inter took only half of the points available to them over the first eight matches of their Serie A season, hardly the kind of start they’ll have envisaged to achieve their aims.

However, a victory over Barcelona in the Champions League sent a very positive message after the low point of losses to Udinese and Roma on either side of the international break.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri managed to follow up on the momentum of that result.

A victory over Sassuolo in a tough away fixture on Saturday confirmed that the Nerazzurri could build on the victory over the Blaugranas, and now the team look to be much calmer and more in control.

“It was very important for Inter to get some consistency and regain their grip in the league,” Pazzini argued.

“It was a good display, because after conceding an equalizer, they were able to react and got back in the lead through a top player like Edin Dzeko,” he added.
