Inter are seriously considering a move for Borussia Monchengladbach left-wingback Ramy Bensebaini next summer.

This according to Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi, who reported on his YouTube channel via FCInterNews that the 27-year-old will be a target for the left flank if he becomes available on a free transfer next summer.

Inter have already been strongly linked with a move for Bensebaini in the past, as the Algerian has the right profile to play at wingback in their system.

Currently, all of Robin Gosens, Federico Diamrco, and Matteo Darmian are capable of playing in the position, but particularly given that Gosens’s future is uncertain, the Nerazzurri could soon be on the lookout for a signing in the position.

In addition to Bensebaini’s stylistic suitability for the role, his contract situation could also make him a viable target.

The 27-year-old’s current deal with Gladbach runs out at the end of June 2023, and so if he does not sign an extension he’ll be available next summer without a transfer fee.

“Inter are keeping an eye on several players for the left flank, including Pedraza from Villarreal and Mazzocchi from Salernitana,” Barzaghi reported.

“And I would also underline in red the name of Bensebaini, who scored a brace for Gladbach in their last match and would be available for free next summer.”

“He’s a very interesting wingbacl that Ausilio likes a lot and who could be available for free,” Barzaghi. “So he’s certainly a transfer to be taken into consideration.”
