Polish referee Szymon Marciniak has been appointed to be in charge of Inter’s Champions League group stage clash away to Barcelona.
This is confirmed by an official announcement by UEFA that the Pole will officiate the fixture on Wednesday, via FCInterNews, which also lists the rest of the crew for the match.
Marciniak will be assisted in his duties by the likes of Paweł Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz as assistant referees, both Polish.
Meanwhile, the role of fourth official will be filled by Tomasz Musiał to complete an all-Polish on-pitch crew.
In the VAR booth, Marek Kwiatkowski will oversee the match to ensure that any clear and obvious errors are corrected, whilst he will be assisted in his duties by Englishman Stuart Atwell.
Both the Nerazzurri and the Blaugranas will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than on refereeing controversies as had been the case in the reverse fixture.
