Inter are set to begin their contract talks with defender Milan Skriniar and his representatives after tomorrow’s Champions League group stage clash with Barcelona.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the first serious meeting with the 27-year-old and his representatives will be held not long after tomorrow’s match.

Inter have yet to seriously kick off discussions with Skriniar and his representatives regarding a new deal.

This will be a vital matter for the Nerazzurri given that at present the Slovakian’s contract runs out at the end of June 2023.

Should an agreement prove impossible to find, then the interest of Paris Saint-Germain will loom larger and larger.

The Parisians tried to sign Skriniar in the summer unsuccessfully, but they will already be interested in returning for his signature in January, or signing him on a free transfer next summer.

If Inter cannot agree a new deal with Skriniar, then they could be faced with the choice of either cashing in on him in January or risking losing him next summer for free.
