Inter’s starting back three of Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, and Alessandro Bastoni must be at their best for a second week in a row if Inter are to get a result against Barcelona tomorrow.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who highlight the trio’s importance for the Champions League clash at the Camp Nou.

Skriniar, de Vrij, and Bastoni all had not only their best performances individually, but their most resolute display as a cohesive unit to keep Barcelona quiet in attack at the San Siro last Tuesday.

For the first time this season, the three showed exactly why they have been regarded as such a strong rearguard over the past few seasons.

Now, Inter’s back three will have the task before them of showing for a second time that they have the quality and the ability to stay switched-on for ninety minutes that it takes to keep this Blaugranas attack from carving out good chances at will.
