Barcelona head coach Xavi feels that his team will be looking for revenge against Inter after the second half of their previous meeting last week.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of the match, as reported by FCInterNews, the Blaugranas coach emphasized the sense that his players would be trying to make it right after feeling aggrieved at the way the previous match went.

Inter beat Barcelona in the first of two Champions League meetings in the space of a week last Tuesday.

The Nerazzurri had to gut out a hard-fought win that saw the visitors have most of the ball at the Camp Nou, but they largely kept the Blaugranas quiet.

Late in the match, Barcelona were denied a potential handball penalty for an incident which looked very similar to an attacking handball that had caused a goal to be ruled out for them earlier.

The Barcelona players and staff were clearly incensed during the match, and this theme has even continued long after the final whistle.

“We hope to be positive, we hope that we can get revenge, and that the indignation from Milan will serve to motivate us, we deserved more from the second half,” the coach said.

“Tomorrow we need that indignation to motivate us to play better football, to attack better than we did [at the San Siro],” he added.
