Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele should have been sent off against Inter for his challenge on Matteo Darmian late in the game, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Polish referee Szymon Marciniak had a very good game in what was a challenging atmosphere at Camp Nou.

The moment his performance suffered was in relation to Ousmane Dembele and two of his challenges.

He fouled Matteo Darmian in the second half with a challenge that many feel should have been a straight red card.

He was shown a yellow card instead but then that raises an incident from the first half.

He had fouled Milan Skriniar in the first half and sparked a brawl but he was not shown a yellow card.

If he was, then the Matteo Darmian foul would have been his second yellow card and he would have been off.
