Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella has said that Inter found a feeling that they had been missing for a long time when they drew 3-3 with Barcelona on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with Mediaset Infinity after the match at Camp Nou, via FCInter1908, Nicolo Barella spoke positively about how he and the other Inter players felt during the game.

Inter had a largely positive display in Spain and thanks to that, they only need to beat Viktoria Plzen in the next Champions League game to assure that they have their place in the next round of the Champions League.

“It was nice, more than just the victory but to rediscover those feelings that we had been missing for a long time, to know how to suffer, to want to win, to fight, we have rediscovered them and we will carry them on until the end of the championship and the Champions League.”

Nicolo Barella also spoke glowingly about the general atmosphere at Camp Nou on Wednesday and how it felt to play well in that environment.

“In football anything can happen, we are not calm but we enjoy this evening, a beautiful evening of football, a spectacular stadium, a heated environment but we have shown that we are there and we can play against everyone.”

He was then quizzed on if Inter are now back after their poor run of form, to which he said: “Let’s hope it’s not just a temporary change, we have to decide that.”
