Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana has said that he has a beautiful relationship with former Inter striker Samuel Eto’o, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.

Speaking during an interview with Inter TV for their ‘A Coffee With’ segment, via FCInternews, Andre Onana talked about his Cameroonian friend who played for Inter in the past.

Samuel Eto’o is arguably the most prominent footballer that Cameroon has ever produced and now Andre Onana is one of the major parts of the Cameroonian national team.

Andre Onana started by talking about the charitable foundation that he set up to help local children who are facing health difficulties.

“I created the foundation four or five years ago. It deals among other things with helping blind children.

“I come from a poor country where life is not easy. Try to imagine living in those conditions and being blind. My foundation tries to help these children concretely.”

He then talked about Samuel Eto’o who played for Inter between 2009 and 2011, making him part of the Triplete winning squad.

“I started in his Academy, now he is the president of the Federation. We have a beautiful relationship.

“We are all proud of him. Following in his footsteps is not easy but we will try.”

He also talked about what his hobbies are off of the pitch and he admitted that he is still focused on trying to get to know Milan.

“I like to visit Milan. I try to be part of the community, because I am new to this beautiful country.

“I try to fit in, I go to the Duomo, around the city. I like history. The Gladiator. I try to learn.

“Favourite dishes? The answer is obvious: pasta. A fantastic dish, I like it a lot. Next interview in Italian? Let’s hope so.”
