Inter’s medical team are aiming to ease Romelu Lukaku back into action with Viktoria Plzen as the target for a start, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, the Belgian forward is going to try and make the bench in some matches leading up to his full return.

He has been out for 10 matches with a thigh injury and has kept threatening to recover sooner than expected before then suffering another relapse.

There is a chance of him being on the bench for the game against Salernitana and then he can work with the group in the following week.

Another chance could then be presented to be on the bench for the next Serie A game against Fiorentina.

That would be leading up to starting the Champions League game against Viktoria Plzen where Inter need to win to assure qualification to the Round of 16.
