Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is expecting to get more from Alessandro Bastoni, Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella after they showed improvements against Barcelona, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Inter coach views those three stars as being key elements of his team.

They were the spine for large parts of last season and they are viewed as the most prized assets at the club.

This season though, they have not been able to produce the same levels of performance that the fans and the coach have become accustomed to.

Against Barcelona though, they produced their best performances of the season so far and now they must build on it.

Alessandro Bastoni played a superb pass to Nicolo Barella for the first Inter goal in the 3-3 draw and the midfielder took it down and scored in a way that hasn’t been seen so far this season.
