Inter wingback Robin Gosens is set to start in tomorrow afternoon’s Serie A clash with Salernitana.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the German will be in the starting eleven for the match following his impressive substitute appearance and goal against Barcelona.
Gosens has not had the start to the season that most will have expected, as even though the 28-year-old has been fit he has mostly been behind Federico Dimarco and Matteo Darmian in the pecking order on the left flank.
However, Gosens showed exactly how effective he can be with his impactful cameo against Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek.
The 28-year-old will be given the opportunity to build on that display with a start against Salernitana.
Gosens will be hoping that he is able to put together a run of performances in the next month which not only cement a claim on the starting spot for Inter, but also earn him a place for Germany at the World Cup.
