Ex-Inter President Massimo Moratti: “I’d Try To Sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia From Napoli But I Know Aurelio De Laurentiis Would Say No”

Legendary former Inter President Massimo Moratti feels that Napoli forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia would be a dream signing for Inter.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, the former Nerazzurri President joked that he’d do what he could to sign the Gerogian from Napoli, but that Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis would never sanction a deal.

Kvaratskhelia has been one of the real revelations of the early part of the current Serie A season.

Napoli appear to have gotten their business right in plucking a top-level player from obscurity as they’ve shown a knack for doing.

The 21-year-old has still only made a few appearances for the Partenopei, but already the sense is that he could be one of the difference-makers in the Italian top flight.

Moreover, Kvaratskhelia’s standard of performance has inevitably led to interest in his signature, and suggestions that he may not be wearing a Napoli shirt for too much longer.

Of the Georgian, Moratti said that “I’d definitely try to sign him, but I know that Aurelio De Laurentiis would say no.”

He added that “The Georgian can do everything, he’s a major talent.”
