Inter President Steven Zhang’s Decided That Milan Skriniar Won’t Be Sold In January Even If He Doesn’t Extend Contract, Italian Media Report

Inter President Steven Zhang has decided that defender Milan Skriniar will not be sold in January even if he does not extend his current contract.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri President has made the decision that the 27-year-old will remain at the club until at least the end of the current season.

Skriniar’s current contract runs out at the end of June 2023, meaning that if the Slovakian does not agree a new deal, he could theoretically leave on a free transfer next summer.

This could well lead the Nerazzurri to prefer to sell the Slovakian during the January transfer window should contract talks over the coming weeks not lead to an agreement.

Paris Saint-Germain in particular remain interested in Skriniar’s signature after missing out on signing him during the summer transfer window.

However, the President has decided that, one way or another, Skriniar will stay at Inter at the very least until his current deal expires.
