Suning want to sell Inter outright rather than searching for minority investment in the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that it is not likely that minority investment will be found, and that the current owners want to sell before the due date of their loan from Oaktree Capital.

Suning have been linked with a sale of Inter for some time, while at the same time it’s been reported that the owners could still be looking for minority investors while still maintaining control.

Reports emerged yesterday that the Nerazzurri owners have given the mandate to investment banks Goldman Sachs and Raine Group to find a buyer for the club.

At the same time, the reports also noted that there is a possibility that the owners could seek a minority investor to inject cash into the Nerazzurri.

However, according to the Corriere this is not a very realistic scenario.

Instead, as the due date of the Oaktree loan approaches, there will be more and more impetus for Suning to find a buyer for the club, which they are likely to sell outright according to the newspaper.
