Inter-owned AZ Alkmaar defender Zinho Vanheusden is set to return from a broken foot that he sustained in an Eredivisie clash with Utrecht in around six weeks.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 23-year-old’s recovery period should be somewhat shorter than had initially been feared.
Vanheusden suffered from a broken foot during an AZ match against Utrecht, with Utrecht striker Bas Dost standing on the Belegian’s foot.
It had been expected that the recovery period for the injury could be quite lengthy.
However, based on the healing so far, the feeling is that the 23-year-old should be back in action sooner than expected.
Vanheusden is now expected to be recovered in around six weeks.
This will still rule the Nerazzurri-owned defender out of the entire period leading into the World Cup, but he should return for his club after the break for the World Cup.
