Fiorentina striker Luka Jovic is very unlikely to be fit for his team’s Serie A clash with Inter on Saturday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that some joint discomfort in the Serb’s hip should rule him out, with Arthur Cabral likely to start in attack for La Viola.

Jovic started for Fiorentina in their Serie A clash with Lecce on Monday, but the 24-year-old had to come off not long into the first half, feeling some visible discomfort in his hip.

Cabral replaced the former Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt striker, with the Brazilian assisting Christian Kouame for the Tuscans’ equalizer in a 1-1 draw.

Jovic’s fitness for this weekend’s Serie A clash with Inter at the Stadio Artemio Franchi has been in some doubt,

The striker’s problem does not appear to be a muscle tear as had been feared.

However, the joint problem should nevertheless be enough to rule Jovic out of playing against the Nerazzurri.
