Inter President Steven Zhang is planning to emphasize the success and ambition that have characterized his time in charge of the club when he addresses the shareholders on Friday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who anticipate the content of the President’s speech at the shareholders meeting to be held at the end of the month.

Zhang will give a speech to the shareholders in the meeting taking place this Friday.

The address will come amid strong rumours that Suning are ready to sell the Nerazzurri, and that this could bring an end to Zhang’s time as club President.

In any event, however, the President, who has now reached four years in his role, wants to stress the amount of positive work that has been done over the past four years.

Zhang took over in his role at a team who looked unable to win trophies, and within a couple of years as President had built a team that was capable of winning their first Serie A title in eleven years.

Meanwhile, last season the Nerazzurri managed to win the Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana, and secure qualification for the Champions League knockout rounds for the first time in eleven seasons.

This time around, the President is hoping that the team will have repeated the trick by making it back-to-back appearances in the round of sixteen of Europe’s top competition with a win over Viktoria Plzen this evening.

Despite all of the uncertainty and rumours, the President wants to emphasize that he has always been an ambitious President of Inter, and that this has led to real progress and major accomplishments on the pitch.
