Inter President Steven Zhang has told his directors to not leave contract extension talks with Milan Skriniar until they have secured an agreement on a new deal.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri President wants the matter settled immediately, and has instructed his directors as such.

Today looks to be the day where Inter will finally make their push to try and convince Skriniar to sign a new deal.

Qualification for the Champions League knockouts is the signal that the club have been looking for, and today the Nerazzurri directors will sit down with the 27-year-old and his representatives.

For Zhang, extending Skriniar’s deal is an absolute priority.

The President is hoping for a swift and positive conclusion to today’s negotiations.

To this end, Zhang has given his directors the mandate to not leave talks until an agreement is found.
