Inter forward Joaquin Correa has praised the club’s strength in depth and believes that there is a strong level of confidence after this evening’s 3-0 victory over Sampdoria.

The Argentina international was on the scoresheet against his former club as Inter were comfortable victors in the Serie A encounter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, after Stefan De Vrij and Nicolo Barella had put them ahead earlier in the game.

Speaking to Inter TV after the final whistle, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the former Lazio attacker was pleased to have made an impact amidst strong competition up front, with Lautaro Martinez, Romelu Lukaku, and Edin Dzeko all vying for a starting spot.

“I’m happy for the goal and for the victory, let’s go on like this. We are focused, we have enjoyed wins in the last few games, so we are happy and confident for what is to come,” Correa claimed.

“It was important to show consistency, we have many players who want to show we can do well.

“We always want to stay on track and move forward, there are many games left for us to have our say.”

Inter now turn their attention to the Champions League and a clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, and despite mathematically securing second place and qualification in Group C, Correa insisted that the Nerazzurri were travelling to Germany to win.

“We have to go there with the idea of winning, we have to show that we can have our say in every match,” the 28-year-old stated.

Correa joined Inter from Lazio in 2021 and has scored nine goals in 51 appearances for the Nerazzurri.
