Inter forward Joaquin Correa received praise for his goalscoring display in the 3-0 win over Sampdoria yesterday, but must now show it on a more consistent basis.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Lazio attacker was one of the best players on the pitch at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and deserved his goal, as he struck from range in the second half shortly after coming on as a substitute.

The movement and goal could prove to be a catalyst for the Argentina international as he looks to establish himself at the Nerazzurri, a year on from his switch from the capital.

Having struggled for consistency during his time at Inter, the newspaper argued that Correa had to start showing his undoubted talent more regularly if he wanted to make an impact in the team going forward.

With Romelu Lukaku returning to fitness, and Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko featuring prominently, Correa faces strong competition for minutes in Simone Inzaghi’s side.
