Inter wing-back Denzel Dumfries has confirmed that he has avoided an injury after he was taken off in yesterday’s 3-0 win over Sampdoria in Serie A.

As reported by FCInter1908.it, the Netherlands international engaged with Nerazzurri supporters online to downplay fears that he could be ruled out with a muscle strain, and instead revealed that he was fine.

Dumfries had risked missing the match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza entirely when he pulled up with an ankle complaint during the warm up, but was deemed fit enough to start and lasted most of the match.

However, the 26-year-old was forced off in the 79th minute after feeling discomfort, and was replaced by Raoul Bellanova for the final portion of the victory.

When asked on Instagram by supporters if he had sustained an injury, Dumfries replied, “I’m fine, no problem! Thank you very much!”

Dumfries joined Inter from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven in 2021 and has made 62 appearances for the Nerazzurri, scoring seven goals.
