Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio has picked up an injury to his adductor muscle, the club have confirmed.

In a post on their official website, Inter.it, the Nerazzurri announced that former Torino defender D’Ambrosio had not taken part in training today due to discomfort over the past few days, and that he would continue to be assessed over the coming days.

Meanwhile, FCInterNews.it suggest that D’Ambrosio is definitely ruled out of the Biscione’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, but could also be forced to miss the Derby d’Italia against Juventus next Sunday.

Inter face their bitter rivals at the Allianz Stadium in Serie A as they seek a fifth successive league victory, but D’Ambrosio’s availability has now been cast into doubt, having been an unused substitute in yesterday’s match against Sampdoria.

The 34-year-old joined Inter in January 2014 and has gone on to make 267 appearances for the club in all competitions, including six this term.
