Italian FA President Gabriele Gravina expects Inter to cooperate fully in the investigations of the incidents in the Curva Nord of the San Siro during the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria.
Speaking to the press, as reported by FCInterNews, the FA President stated that he’s received assurances from Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta that there will be total cooperation from Inter in investigating the scandalous events.
Inter’s Curva Nord ultras decided to leave the stadium in tribute to prominent Nord ultra Vittoria Boiocchi who had been shot dead on Saturday.
The ultras took the spontaneous decision to leave the stand, but also forced many other matchgoing fans, including some with families, to leave alongside them to fully empty the Curva Nord stand.
Significant controversy has erupted in the aftermath of these scenes, and the authorities are expected to fully investigate the incidents.
For his part, Gravina believes that Inter will cooperate fully.
“From what we’ve read, which is all we have to go on right now, the scenes were hardly beautiful.” he said.
“I heard from Marotta, he assured me that Inter are at the disposal of the authorities and that he will make all images available to the investigators.”
“If there are any individuals responsible, it will be up to the police and the investigators to determine,” he added.
