The Inter fans who were forced out of their seats in the Curva Nord section of the San Siro in Saturday’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria could have their tickets refunded by the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the club could respond to the scandalous scenes on Saturday evening by refunding the tickets of the fans affected.

A number of Inter supporters were intimidated into leaving their seats during the second half of Saturday’s win over Sampdoria by members of the Curva Nord ultras group.

The ultras had taken the decision to leave their seats as a tribute to a prominent member of their ranks, Vittoria Boiocchi, who had been shot dead.

However, the Nord ultras not only vacated the stand themselves, but also insisted that the entire stand be empty as a tribute, forcing normal matchgoing fans including families, to leave.

The club will respond to the events of Saturday evening’s match, and could refund the tickets of the fans who were forced to leave.
