Legendary former Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso believes that this Sunday’s Serie A match against Juventus will be a great opportunity for the Nerazzurri to assert themselves.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the treble winner identified this weekend’s match as chance for the Nerazzurri to pull out in front of the Bianconeri, and also to get back into the Serie A title race.
Inter have won their last four matches in Serie A, looking to have gone a long way towards recovering following their poor start to the Serie A campaign.
The Nerazzurri can make it five in a row if they are to take three points away from Juventus, although this will not be an easy task by any means.
However, given the Bianconeri’s own struggles at the start of the campaign, the match will feel like a big opportunity from the perspective of Inter.
“I believe that a positive result in Turin would be enough to put Inter right back in the hunt for the Scudetto,” Cambiasso said.
“When teams are a bit behind in the table they need to take these chances, and I think this will be a chance for Inter to show that they’re a stronger team than Juventus,” he added.
