Inter’s directors are set to meet with coach Simone Inzaghi today ahead of the team’s Serie A clash with Bologna to stress the importance of immediately recovering from Sunday’s loss to Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the directors feel that it is imperative that the team avoid missing out on top four in the Serie A table.

If Inter’s loss to the Bianconeri over the weekend was obviously a major blow in their push for the Scudetto, which now looks to be hanging a thread, it also proved that even a top four finish cannot be taken for granted.

Given the quality of the squad, the club see finishing in the top four and securing Champions League football as the absolute minimum.

As such, the Nerazzurri directors will meet with Inzaghi before tomorrow’s match against Bologna, stressing that the team must come to grips with their current situation and put together a consistent run that will put them in the driver’s seat for top four.
