Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has been called up for the Croatian national team squad ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

This is confirmed by an announcement of the complete squad list on the Croatian FA’s official Twitter, which includes the Nerazzurri midfielder among the 26-player list named.

Brozovic has been a key player at the heart of Croatia’s midfield for a number of years.

The 29-year-old had been out for more than a month recovering from a thigh strain, but made his return to the pitch in Inter’s Serie A match against Juventus over the weekend.

Former Inter and current Tottenham Hotspur wingback Ivan Perisic is also included in the squad list.
