Legendary former Inter, Roma, Real Madrid, and Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano was very impressed with how the Nerazzurri beat Bologna on Wednesday.

Speaking on his Instagram account, via FCInter1908, the former forward contrasted the Nerazzurri’s approach in that match to how Juventus played to scrape a 1-0 win against Hellas Verona, which he described as shameful.

Inter needed a response to the disappointment of a loss to Juventus over weekend.

The reaction could not have come in much more emphatic fashion, as the Nerazzurri put in a dominant display to win 6-1 and show that the quality, hunger, and fight in them is still very much there.

Meanwhile, the Bianconeri procured yet another victory in their own follow-up match to Sunday’s Derby d’Italia.

However, Juventus’s victory came in the narrowest of circumstances, and Cassano was not impressed with what he saw.

“After the bad defeat in Turin, Inter managed to get it right, they didn’t struggle even after going behind,” he said of Inter’s match against Bologna

“It was tough for twenty minutes, and then after the equalizer Inter deservedly steamrolled their opponents.”

Cassano then said that “Juventus continue to look awful from match to match.”

“Juve won in Verona but barely had a shot on target, it was shameful.”
