Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi’s one major selection doubt for Sunday’s Serie A match against Atalanta is whether to start Stefan de Vrij or Francesco Acerbi at the heart of the defense.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the coach slightly favours going with Acerbi in the central spot in the back three.

Inzaghi will be aiming to play his strongest possible eleven based on form for Sunday’s match.

In midfield, on the flanks, and in attack the coach is set to go with the team that has been working well on the pitch in recent weeks.

Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar are virtually certain to start on either side of the back three, but in between them Inzaghi is yet to make a final decision between Acerbi and de Vrij.

The Gazzetta’s complete predicted starting eleven for the match is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro.
