Inter would consider Stuttgart wingback Borna Sosa to be the ideal replacement for Robin Gosens should the German leave in the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, who report that the 24-year-old would be allowed to leave by his current club for the right price.

Sosa had already been a prominent target for Inter in the recent past, with the Nerazzurri having tracked him as a possible replacement for Gosens when the German was linked with a move to Bayer Leverkusen towards the end of the summer transfer window.

Things have not changed much in terms of the Nerazzurri’s thinking, and if Gosens were to leave as early as January, then Sosa would become a major target.

Stuttgart are in need of the revenues from sales to sort out financial issues, and are hoping that some of their players impress at the World Cup and generate transfer interest.

Sosa is one of the players who the Bundesliga outfit would be most likely to cash in on.
