Inter could move to sign Borussia Monchengladbach wingback Ramy Bensebaini during the January transfer window rather than waiting for him to become available on a free transfer during the summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri would consider signing the 27-year-old for a fee in January in order to beat out the competition of Juventus for his signature.

Bensebaini is one of Inter’s main targets to replace Robin Gosens on the left flank in the event that the 28-year-old departs.

Should Gosens already be on his way out during the January window, then the Nerazzurri could already move for the Algerian without any delay.

Bensebaini is not set to extend his contract with Gladbach, which as it stands runs out at the end of June 2023.

Juventus are also interested in signing the Algerian next summer on a free transfer.

However, the Nerazzurri could look to secure Bensebaini’s signature immediately and ahead of the Bianconeri by moving for him in January.
