Defender Stefan de Vrij and Marcelo Brozovic are set to start on the bench in Inter’s Serie A clash with Atalanta on Sunday.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who reported earlier this evening, via FCInterNews, that the pair will be left out of the Nerazzurri’s starting eleven for the match in favour of Francesco Acerbi and Hakan Calhanoglu respectively.
In the back three, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi looks to be likelier to start Acerbi in the centre with Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni on either side of him than de Vrij, although there is a doubt.
Meanwhile, in midfield, the coach is likely to start Brozovic on the bench as he has in the Nerazzurri’s past two matches, against Juventus and Bologna.
Instead, Calhanoglu will continue his run of starts in the deepest role in midfield, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Barella on either side of him.
