Inter wingback Federico Dimarco feels that the form of the team as a whole is more important to him than his own growth as a player this season.

Speaking to Maltese journalists, as reported by FCInterNews, the 25-year-old stressed the importance of the Nerazzurri improving and growing into the season above all else.

Dimarco has been enjoying the best form of his Inter career over the first part of the current season.

The 25-year-old hadn’t necessarily come into the season with the expectation that he would be the first-choice started on the Nerazzurri’s left flank.

However, a string of excellent performances at wingback from Dimarco were at the heart of some of the team’s best results in Serie A and the Champions League and saw him cement a place for himself in the Nerazzurri’s starting eleven.

For Dimarco, however, his individual accomplishments are less important than those of the team as a whole.

“More than for myself, I’m happy for the team, I always try to give my best,” he said.
