Inter have enquired about Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister after an impressive 2022 World Cup campaign with Argentina.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, and as reported by L’Interista.it, the former Argentinos Juniors player has appeared on Inter’s radar and the Nerazzurri have enquired about his availability from the Premier League club.

Brighton are ready to fend off interest in the 23-year-old though, and Inter have been joined in pursuing him by Juventus, as well as Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid.

Mac Allister has established himself as a starter for Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni, as the Albiceleste prepare to face Croatia for a place in the World Cup final.

The midfielder scored his first goal for the Argentina national team in their 2-1 win over Poland in the group stage, ensuring qualification for the knockout stages.

The former Boca Juniors loanee joined Brighton in 2019 and has made 86 appearances for the Seagulls, scoring 13 goals.
