As they look to rebuild at boardroom level, Juventus have set Inter CEO Beppe Marotta as their ideal candidate to help their project.

According to Italian television broadcaster Sport Mediaset, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the Bianconeri have identified Marotta as their dream figure to take the vacant sporting director role, four years after he left the club.

Juventus saw their entire board resign en masse two weeks ago, with an investigation into financial irregularities ongoing, and the Bianconeri are keen to fill the positions as quickly as possible.

Whilst Cristiano Giuntoli is the current favourite to become sporting director, Juventus officials see Marotta as the best candidate for the role and would take the opportunity to being him back to Turin.

However, it is thought to only be a suggestion at this stage and there is nothing to hint that he will leave Inter for a move back to Juventus.

Elsewhere, the Bianconeri are hoping to hire former captain Alessandro Del Piero as vice-president.
