Inter are expected to have more contacts with the representatives of Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram in the coming days.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who reported this afternoon via FCInterNews that the Nerazzurri are hoping to make further inroads with the 25-year-old towards a possible free transfer next summer, whilst Bayern Munich remain the team in pole position for his signature.

Now that Thuram’s World Cup is over, with the 25-year-old having appeared as a first-half substitute for France who lost the final to Argentina, the striker is ready to think about his future.

Inter remain one of the clubs keenest on signing the Frenchman, whilst teams in the Premier League are also interested.

According to Mediaset, Bayern remain the team in the strongest position to sign Thuram, although their advantage is lessening.

The broadcaster reports that Inter will hold more talks with Thuram’s representatives soon.
