Former Fiorentina midfielder Massimo Orlando feels that Joaquin Correa is the one forward at Inter who has yet to prove himself in a Nerazzurri shirt.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, via FCInter1908, Orlando gave his thoughts on the current attacking options at the Nerazzurri.

Correa joined Inter in the summer of 2021 with significant expectation regarding the impact that he would have at the club.

The Argentine forward had established a strong reputation for himself within Serie A off the back of his performances with Lazio over three seasons.

However, so far injuries and a lack of tactical chemistry with the rest of the team have meant that the 28-year-old’s best have hardly been seen in an Inter shirt.

The likes of Edin Dzeko, Romelu Lukaku, and Lautaro Martinez by contrast have all proven themselves at one time or another at the Nerazzurri, something which Orlando notes.

“Both Lukaku and Dzeko have done well playing alongside Lautaro,” Orlando said, “it’s just Correa who’s failed to make an impact.”
