Inter have set a deadline of January 15 to receive the response from defender Milan Skriniar to their contract extension offer.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reports on his homepage that the Nerazzurri want to know what the 27-year-old’s final response will be by the middle of the current month so that they can plan their strategy accordingly.

Christmas has come and gone without Skriniar giving his anticipated reply to Inter’s contract offer.

The Nerazzurri have allowed the former Sampdoria defender another few weeks to consider their offer, but they will not wait forever.

According to Pedulla, January 15 is the date that the club have given Skriniar and his representatives as a final deadline for the response to arrive.

The Nerazzurri are keen to start planning for the future, and they want to know whether this will mean planning to build around the Slovakian in defense, or to start searching for a replacement.
