Inter are not in any hurry to ramp up the contract extension talks with striker Edin Dzeko.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that both the Nerazzurri and the player are fine with conducting the negotiations in due course rather than rushing them.

With some sets of negotiations, those with defender Milan Skriniar in particular, Inter are keen to make progress and reach a conclusion sooner rather than later.

In the case of the talks with Dzeko, however, the Nerazzurri are not in such a hurry.

Both the club and player have made clear that their mutual will is to continue on together.

The matter of wages on a prospective contract extension will have to be discussed, as Inter want to agree a deal at reduced terms whilst Dzeko wants the same wages he currently earns.

However, for now, the Nerazzurri are not pressing to move forward in negotiations.
