Matteo Darmian To Sign One-Year Contract Extension With Appearance-Based Option Of Additional Season With Inter Milan, Italian Media Report

Inter wingback Matteo Darmian is set to sign a one-season contract extension containing the option of an additional season based on appearances made.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 33-year-old is on the verge of putting pen to paper on the new deal, and that he will earn around €2 million net per season.

Darmian and Inter have been in  talks regarding a new deal over the past few weeks.

The Nerazzurri and the former Manchester United, Torino, and Parma wingback have both made their intentions clear of staying on together past the end of the current season.

According to the Gazzetta, the parties have reached virtually a total agreement on the new contact.

Darmian will sign a one-year contract extension which contains the option of a further season which could be triggered based on appearances made, and only the signatures are now left before the deal is made official.
