Inter are growing increasingly pessimistic regarding the contract extension negotiations with defender Milan Skriniar.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s mood is becoming more pessimistic that the 27-year-old will accept the contract offer that they have put on the table.

Inter are still waiting for Skriniar and his representatives to deliver a response to the offer that they have made for a new deal to extend his contract, which as things stand runs out at the end of June.

The offer has now been on the table for more than two months, and the player has yet to give them his response.

However, the club are increasingly getting a sense of what the former Sampdoria defender’s intentions are, according to Mediaset.

The broadcaster reports that the Nerazzurri are starting to expect that in all likelihood Skriniar will turn down their offer and leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.
