The agent of Inter defenders Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij feels that updates will come in the two players’ situations soon.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI Radio, via FCInterNews, Pastorello explained that he expects the Nerazzurri to try and sign Acerbi permanently from Lazio, whilst he assured that de Vrij will make a decision on his future in the coming weeks.

Neither Acerbi nor de Vrij are certain to be Inter players at the start of next season.

In the former case, the Nerazzurri will have to negotiate a permanent transfer for the 34-year-old from Lazio, as he is currently only on loan from the Biancocelesti until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, in the case of de Vrij, the Dutchman’s contract is set to expire at the end of the campaign.

The Nerazzurri have made the player an offer of a new deal, but they have yet to receive his response.

Of Acerbi, Pastorello said that “The negotiation to bring him to Milan was difficult and took a long time, but fortunately we managed to get it done.”

“It’s a loan with a purchase option,” he said of the deal for Acerbi, “we’ve been informed by the club that they intend to keep hold of him, though only under certain financial conditions.”

“Let’s hope that an agreement can be found, dealing with Lazio President Lotito is always difficult, but I’m convinced that an agreement will be found in the end.”

And regarding de Vrij, Pastorello said that “His contract is is set to expire as everyone is aware, there are talks underway with the club which are positive and relaxed.”

“They let us know that they would like to extend his contract,” he noted of the 30-year-old defender’s situation, “but we also would like to consider the possibilities in other league such as in England or Spain.”

“But we’ll certainly have our response by February,” the agent made clear.
