Inter Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin is currently in Colombia, where he is observing the South American Under-20 Championship and looking for potential new signings.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the focus of Baccin’s search is particularly on potential defensive signings.

Baccin is looking to scout a number of targets, and see whether any new targets emerge, among young players at the South American Under-20 Championship that is currently ongoing.

The executive has recommended a number of signings from South America in recent seasons, including Uruguayan striker Martin Satriano.

According to the Corriere, this time around Baccin is looking to see if any young defenders shine, given that the Nerazzurri are set to make signings to reinforce their backline over the summer with all of Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Danilo D’Ambrosio, and Francesco Acerbi potentially departing then.
