Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic could leave the Nerazzurri this summer with Barcelona keen on signing him.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri could decide to let the 30-year-old leave as the Blaugranas’ interest in signing him has hardly gone away.

Inter extended Brozovic’s contract last spring, and the Croat remains an important player for the Nerazzurri on the pitch.

However, there is a certain sense that the team have found more ways to cope without Brozovic than they had done in the past, particularly given that the Croat has been out injured for significant portions of the current season.

As Tuttosport notes, Hakan Calhanoglu has filled in not just adeptly but exceptionally, whilst Kristjan Asllani is seen as a player capable of really making the regista role his own over the coming seasons.

Accordingly, the Nerazzurri could be ready to move on from Brozovic.

Barcelona are keen on the Croat, who could fill a vital role in their midfield, and Inter could consider an offer either including former AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, or a straight cash bid, for Brozovic.
