Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries could start in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria on Monday ahead of Matteo Darmian.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who also report that Romelu Lukaku will start alongside Lautaro Martinez in attack, and that Francesco Acerbi will start at the heart of defense once agin.

Darmian started on the right flank for Inter in the derby against AC Milan, but according to the Gazzetta, it could be Dumfries who takes his place in the side for Monday’s away trip to Genoa to face Sampdoria.

Meanwhile, the newspaper report that Lukaku is the favourite to start alongside Martinez.

In midfield, the newspaper report that Marcelo Brozovic will make his first start in almost five months.

Lastly, Acerbi is likely to start in the central spot in the Nerazzurri’s back three at the Marassi, with Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni either side of him to complete the trio.
