Inter have put around €4.5 million net per season on the table as a contract extension offer to defender Alessandro Bastoni, whilst the player is hoping for closer to €6 million net per season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that significant distance remains between the Nerazzurri and Bastoni, and that an agreement could be found somewhere in the middle.

Bastoni’s current deal at Inter is worth around €2.8 million net per season, potentially rising to €4 million net with significant add-ons.

The Nerazzurri’s offer is to increase the fixed amount to €4.5 million whilst also keeping a high amount of add-ons in the deal.

However, the player’s request is for the fixed amount to be increased to €6 million, around the same as Milan Skriniar had been offered, to reflect his status as a key player in the squad.

According to the Corriere, there is a good chance that the parties will reach an agreement somewhere between where they both currently stand.
