Edin Dzeko is still the favourite to start alongside Lautaro Martinez in attack for Inter in this week’s Champions League round of sixteen first leg against Porto, ahead of Romelu Lukaku.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Belgian’s chances of starting the match are increasing but that it is still Dzeko who is favourite to start.

As far as Inter’s starting eleven to face Porto, there is virtually no doubt whatsoever that Martinez will be one of the two strikers leading the line.

However, as far as who will start alongside the Argentine, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has yet to make up his mind.

Dzeko has been the favourite, and according to the Gazzetta, still is.

However, Lukaku is also hoping to start, and the 29-year-old’s chances of doing so are increasing, and it will remain to be seen if he is selected ahead of Dzeko.
