Juventus Legend Fabrizio Ravanelli: “AC Milan More Of A Team Than Inter Milan”

Former Juventus, Lazio, and Middlesborough striker Fabrizio Ravanelli feels that at the moment, AC Milan play as more of a team than city rivals Inter.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, the former striker gave the view that the Nerazzurri have some lingering defensive issues, whereas the Rossoneri have found a way to play more compactly again.

Some criticism has been directed at Inter for a lack of compactness, particularly with the way that players can get caught up the pitch individually and allow gaps in front of the back three.

This was once again on show in the goal that Inter conceded against Udinese over the weekend, a goal which came from the Friulani being given a big gap to run into on the Nerazzurri’s right-hand side.

For Ravanelli, this type of thing is still a problem for Inter, and less so for their city rivals.

“I see the Rossoneri as being more of a team than the Nerazzurri,” the former striker said.

“I don’t see Inter looking to be at the level that they were at for parts of this season, and last season,” he added.

“Milan, on the other hand, look to have re-found their compactness after a period where they were struggling.”
