Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is aiming to make his performances and goals against Udinese and Porto in his last two matches only the beginning of his return to form.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who note that the 29-year-old will be aiming to build up match rhythm and regain his confidence fully in the coming weeks.

Lukaku’s performances against Udinese and particularly against Porto have come as a real breath of fresh air for both the player and for Inter.

However, two goals, one of which came from the penalty spot, hardly constitute a full return to form.

The Belgian still feels that he has a lot more to give and that the displays against Udinese and Porto were only glimpses of a return.

Accordingly, the Gazzetta suggests, Lukaku expects that over the next few matches he can gain a lot in terms of consistency and his feel for the game with more playing time and, he hopes, more regular goals to recover his confidence.
